Financial Aid & Scholarships

All financial aid is need-based, with the student filing his FAFSA (and, for some colleges, College Scholarship Service Profile) after October 1 of the senior year. The FAFSA qualifies a student for federal loans, and FAFSA and CSS are used to determine grants and loans the college might award.

Scholarships are generally not need based but awarded on the basis of academic or athletic merit. In general, the most selective colleges do not award merit scholarships, but many other colleges do.

Sarah's work with our son Luca made the college application process much smoother for the entire family! She gave him assessments which gave him different insights about his personality, skills and interests. This was helpful so he had more elements to consider as he was deciding the colleges he was applying to, but also for writing the essays. Sarah also considered our family's needs, expectations, and profile when helping him create a college list, which included target, reach and safety options. She helped our son plan out all the necessary steps over time, so everything was done with less anxiety. Sarah is very knowledgeable, was always quick to answer any questions we had, and was available every step of the way. Luca was accepted Early Decision at Brown! We truly recommend her services and look forward to having her help our other children as well.
